"Mystery Bag" Hand Painted Tote

Start a "Mystery Bag" activity in your classroom with this cute hand painted mystery bag.  Students take turns taking the tote home with a simple Mystery Bag journal inside.  At home, they select one item and write five clues about it in the Mystery Bag journal.  They then bring the Mystery Bag back to class and read the clues to the class, calling on students to guess what they brought after each clue is read.  Once done, the Mystery Bag (including the journal inside) goes home with the next student selected.

This is a great activity for encouraging deductive reasoning as well as writing.
