Estimation Jar Tote Bag Set

Help your students practice estimating with this cute, brand new "Estimation Jar" tote bag and notebook.  Students take turns taking the tote home. Inside the tote there should be a sturdy plastic jar and the provided Estimation Log.  At home, students fill the jar with a bunch of any item of their choice.  They then bring the Estimation Tote back to class and all of the students in the class each get a turn estimating the quantity inside the jar. Once all students have made an estimation, the class gathers in a circle and counts out the items in the jar.   (Students can bring little things to share with the class like candies or erasers or other small items, OR they can bring something they'd like to take back home with them.)

Once done, the Estimation Tote then goes home with the next student selected.

This is a great activity for practicing estimation as well as counting.

This set is new and in great shape!  I did this activity with my students and then decided to make a new bag....and then never got a chance to use it.  I'm now retiring from teaching so it is no longer needed.
