Classroom Items -- Perfect for K-2 classrooms

Lot of lightly used items that are perfect for a K-2 classroom!  I used these each day in our 'morning meeting/calendar time' and then used the pointer sticks and name sticks throughout the day as well.

The first picture (bordered in red) is a collage of the items, and the remaining pictures show the exact items in this set individually. 

This set includes:

• 118 name sticks (tongue depressors that I painted to look like pencils).
  • I used these all over the room, including (1) a set to help me pick my morning meeting helper, (2) a set to determine who got to take the different tote backs home, (3) a set to hold neat handwriting contests, (4) a set to pick our next "Super Star of the Week", etc...
  • Note: Only one side is painted. Also, you will need to put new labels over my existing labels.  They can be reused year after year with just the addition of new name labels.
  • These have been used for several years and do show some wear but could be cleaned up with a wet wipe.
    
    
• a "today's helper" container for one class set of name sticks, which I used to decide who would help with the morning meeting 
  
  
• "Question of the Day" strips -- one year's worth of laminated, typed questions.  Perfect for morning meeting/calendar time. I let my helper of the day call on students to answer the question.  Most questions are fun "Would you rather..." format or general 'about me/what is your favorite/etc' questions.

• 8 cute pointer sticks.  I let my student helper use one each day in the morning meeting, plus I used these sporadically throughout the day in teaching
  
  
• a container to hold pointer sticks.  I generally put glass pebble beads in the bottom to keep it stable (available at the dollar store) but many things would work.
  
  
• "Science Tidbit" strips -- one year's worth of laminated, multi-color, cardstock strips. The kids LOVE these fascinating science facts.  We read one each day at our morning meeting, and many led to little discussions afterwards. So interesting
