If you teach the younger grades (or have a child that age at home), these 11 ready-to-go games and activities can make learning these topics a lot of fun!
The first picture (bordered in red) is a collage of several of the 10 activities in this set. Then, the remaining pictures show all 10 items one at a time--close up, with a brief explanation of the activity. (Those explanation cards will be mailed to you with the rest of the items.)
Included in this set are the following lightly used items:
- syllables sort (laminated, 4 header cards + DOZENS of cards to broken into syllables, I use these to introduce syllables whole class but they could also make for a fun matching game, plus the cards can be used for MANY different syllables activities)
- syllables "around the room" activity (16 laminated cards plus student answer sheet, makes for a great informal assessment)
- 3 Syllables Spin gameboards (laminated, directions cards included, requires spinner and game pieces, kids really like this game)
- antonyms match (laminated, 12 matches total, orange-and-apple theme, I use these to introduce antonyms whole class but they could also make for a fun matching game)
- antonyms puzzle matching activity (hard cardboard, 20 matches total)
antonyms "around the room" activity (10 laminated cards, makes for a great informal assessment) - antonyms matching activity (laminated, 10 matches total, elephant holding words)
